American Horror Story is hard at work for an epic season 13, bringing back Jessica Lange to the series and bringing Ariana Grande back to TV acting for the first time in over a decade.
Ryan Murphy’s horror anthology series announced a bold cast for Halloween on Friday, October 31st, showing off a lineup that includes many familiar faces, including series favorites Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, and Emma Roberts.
Longtime fans were thrilled when they read Lange’s name in a casting announcement on Instagram, happy to see an original cast member appear on screen for the first time since their departure in 2014. The 76-year-old actress played Constance Langdon in season 1 (Murder House), Sister Jude Martin in season 2 (Asylum), Fiona Goode in season 3 (Coven), and Elsa Mars in season 4 (Freak Show).
Grande’s “AHS” debut will also mark her first acting role on a TV show since 2015’s “Scream Queens.” While continuing her music career with the upcoming “Eternal Sunshine” tour, the singer is leaning into her acting roots, playing Glinda in both “Wicked” and the upcoming sequel “Wicked for Good.”
Season 12 of the series, titled “Delicate,” concluded last year and starred Kim Kardashian, Matt Cucuri, Annabelle Dexter-Jones and Cara Delevingne.
