US LBM Coaches Poll: 5 teams on track for College Football Playoff

- The top 10 teams in the US LBM Coaches Poll remain unchanged after Week 9.
- Oklahoma State dropped seven spots to 18th place after losing to Ole Miss.
- Houston, Navy, Utah and Memphis are new additions to the top 25 rankings.
There was plenty of drama in Week 9 of college football, but few upsets. As such, most of the top tiers of the US LBM Coaches Poll remain unchanged.
In fact, the top 10 is in exactly the same order as last week. Ohio State, which had a weekend off, maintained its lead with 62 of the 64 first-place votes cast this week. Indiana University holds onto the No. 2 spot by surpassing UCLA, but the Hoosiers were unable to claim either of the remaining two No. 1 spots. They both go to Texas A&M, which remains No. 3 overall following a second-half dominance at LSU.
Alabama narrowly escaped South Carolina but remains in fourth place, while struggling Georgia continues to round out the top five. Oregon State, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Miami (Fla.) and Brigham Young again round out the bottom of the top 10.
Top 25: Respond to US LBM Coach Poll after Week 9
Vanderbilt takes over the 11th spot held by Oklahoma last week, moving it one step closer to the top 10. With the loss to Ole Miss, the Sooners dropped seven spots to 18th place. Notre Dame also moved up to 12th place. Cincinnati and Louisville moved up five spots to 16th and 17th, respectively, while the University of Missouri dropped six spots to 20th.
Leading the group of four teams moving into the rankings is No. 22 Houston. Navy, the last undefeated team outside of the Power Four conferences, makes its debut at No. 23. No. 24 Utah and No. 25 Memphis also rejoin.
LSU, South Florida, Illinois and Arizona State were all eliminated with losses.
