Former Good Morning America co-host Amy Robach and TJ Holmes are engaged!
Nearly three years after their romance became a public scandal, the pair announced on their joint podcast, Amy & TJ, that they have been engaged for more than a month.
“I just want to say I’m very happy,” Robach said on the Tuesday, Oct. 14 episode. “I think that was the best thing my parents ever heard from someone else. They may not have noticed the ring, but they did notice the joy.”
Robach and Holmes said they wanted the world to know about their relationship before it hit the news, seemingly hinting at a 2022 scandal.
“We’ve learned lessons about our relationship in the past and want to be the first to talk about it,” Holmes joked.
Robach said she proudly and excitedly wore her engagement ring in “three huge soccer stadiums for three weeks in a row,” waiting for someone to point it out, but “that never happened.”
“Maybe they were just being polite,” she added. “I think a lot of people who are close to us, who love us and know us, understand what we’ve been through and don’t want to pry.”

The couple said they may release more details about the proposal in the future, but are currently celebrating with their families.
Mr Holmes urged people not to believe headlines about their love life, adding that only about 10 people knew what happened and he was “confident that no information was leaked”.
The relationship between the former “GMA3” co-hosts first attracted much attention in 2022 when they were photographed holding hands and relaxing while each was married to another person.
ABC quickly pulled the pair off the air, citing rumors of their romance as a “distraction both internally and externally.”

Holmes filed for divorce from his then-wife, immigration attorney Marilee Fiebig, in December 2022, court records obtained by USA TODAY confirm. Holmes and Fiebig have an 11-year-old daughter, Sabine. Holmes also has a daughter, Brianna, and a son, Jaden, with ex-wife Amy Farson.
Meanwhile, Robach divorced her then-husband, Melrose Place star Andrew Shue, in March 2023, according to E!. news. Robach has two daughters, Ava and Annalize, with Shue’s ex-husband, Tim McIntosh.
Robak and Schuh married in 2010, the same year Holmes and Fiebig also married.
Television journalists confirmed their relationship in October 2023 in an Instagram post after attending a football game at Holmes’ alma mater, the University of Arkansas.
