When will President Trump return to Mar-a-Lago? Florida season is approaching

Date:

President Donald Trump spent many weekends this summer at his golf club in the Northeast. But with cold weather on the horizon, it may be time for him to return to the White House for the winter.

Trump has visited his Mar-a-Lago mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, 10 times since taking office on January 20.

During that time, he made several changes to the actual White House to reflect Mar-a-Lago, including gold decorations in the Oval Office and a new patio in the Rose Garden. Construction could soon begin at Mar-a-Lago. A request was submitted to install a new helipad on site for Marine One (the helipad installed during his first term was destroyed due to conditions from the town council).

So when will he return to his Florida mansion? Here’s what we know:

When will President Trump return to Mar-a-Lago?

Some clues indicate he will be back on October 17th.

Trump will be the keynote speaker at super PAC MAGA’s $1 million per plate fundraiser on October 17, according to an invitation obtained by CNN.

In an Oct. 9 email notice sent to tenants, the Boca Raton Airport Authority said temporary air restrictions at the level of those in place during presidential travel are scheduled for Oct. 17-19. Such advisories have served as reliable indicators of the timing and duration of visits to Mar-a-Lago since President Trump’s first term, although Trump typically uses Palm Beach International Airport.

The White House did not respond to inquiries regarding travel plans to Mar-a-Lago.

What we do know is that President Trump is scheduled to travel to Miami on November 5th to speak at the American Business Forum at the Caseya Center, the home arena of the NBA’s Miami Heat.

When was the last time Trump was at Mar-a-Lago?

President Trump’s most recent visit to the “island,” as locals call it, was from May 1 to May 4.

When is social season at Mar-a-Lago?

If Trump comes on Oct. 17, he would be back in Palm Beach earlier than usual, ahead of the island’s social season and before the Mar-a-Lago club holds its season-opening party on Halloween. The traditional social season starts around Thanksgiving and slows down after Easter.
