With one-third of the 2025 NFL regular season remaining, Week 6 begins tonight.

The New York Giants (1-4) will host the Philadelphia Eagles (4-1), who suffered their first loss of the season against the defending Super Bowl champions against the Denver Broncos. The reigning champions squandered a 17-3 lead in the fourth quarter when Denver scored 18 straight points in the final 13 minutes to defeat the Birds. Philadelphia will look to get back on track against Big Blue at MetLife Stadium.

Week 6’s edition of “Thursday Night Football” promises to be entertaining as these divisional rivals are scheduled to battle it out in what’s known as the “I-95 Game.”

Like the Eagles, the Giants blew a double-digit lead last Sunday against the previously winless New Orleans Saints and ultimately suffered a disappointing loss. The Giants jumped out to a 14-3 lead on the road, but gave up 23 points and suffered a 26-14 loss.

The Giants struggled with turnovers, including two interceptions and a fumble by Jackson Dart, who was making his second start in NFL history. Tonight will be the 25th overall pick’s first prime-time game, and he will look to provide the inspiration the Giants and Brian Daboll need.

Saquon Barkley is off to a pedestrian start after rushing for 2,000 yards last season. He has just six carries in the Eagles’ most recent games and averaged just over 50 yards through the first five weeks of 2025. Last season, in Barkley’s first matchup against his former team, he rushed for 176 yards and a touchdown. The reigning Offensive Player of the Year was placed on the injury report earlier this week, but it appears he will be back at full strength Thursday night.

Philadelphia’s other offensive star, AJ Brown, got off to an inauspicious start. Can Alpha wide receiver get back on track against the Giants’ secondary?

This is the first of two games over the next three weeks between the NFC East foes. Can the Eagles get back in the win column, or can the Giants suffer their first losing streak since December 2023?

USA TODAY Sports will bring you live updates, highlights and more from Thursday night’s Week 6 game between the Giants and Eagles below.

The Giants’ rookie running back brought New York’s offense closer to the goal line with a 12-yard run at second base and a 10-yard run from the Eagles’ 13-yard line. He made his second effort one play later, giving the Giants a two-point advantage over the Eagles.

Jude McAtamney’s extra point gave the Giants a lead with 7:56 left in the third quarter.

The Eagles’ first-round draft pick a year ago was ruled out of tonight’s game with a hamstring injury. Veteran Adoree’ Jackson will likely play outside cornerback in Mitchell’s place for the remainder of the game.

The two offenses each punted once in the first half. They accomplished that on their first two drives of the second half. Philadelphia’s Jalen Hurts beat wideout DeVonta Smith from his own 11-yard line on a third-and-6, giving the Eagles a kickback to the Giants. New York takes control at its own 44-yard line.

New York opened the second half with a 3-and-out and punted for the second time in the game. Quarterback Jackson Dart, facing unblocked pressure, fired a deep pass to Johnson, but the tight end was unable to control the ball on the ground and was ruled incomplete.

With 13:43 remaining in the third quarter, the Eagles’ offense was on the offensive at its own 7-yard line after receiving an unnecessary roughness penalty on a punt.

Philadelphia barely made it to midfield in the final 79 seconds of the first half, but time ran out before kicker Jake Elliott got within range for the game-winning field goal. The Eagles entered halftime with a three-point lead over the Giants, with the Giants kicking off the second half.

This is the first time the Giants have led at halftime against the Eagles since Week 18 of the 2023 season.

New York responded to the Eagles’ long scoring streak with a score of its own. The Giants took the lead by advancing 67 yards in 15 plays. This time, it was another Giants rookie as Scattebo found the end zone, scoring the winning touchdown over the left guard from four yards left.

Jude McAtamney added the extra point with 1:19 left in the first half for a three-point lead.

Philadelphia’s top cornerback is sidelined with what the team is calling a hamstring injury as the game approaches halftime. His return to tonight’s game is questionable, but the Eagles are replacing him with veteran Adoree’ Jackson.

Philadelphia called the infamous “push-push” play four consecutive times inside the Giants’ own 5-yard line, resulting in the go-ahead score. Quarterback Jalen Hurts crossed the goal line with one yard left to go, capping a 13-play, 74-yard drive that took nearly eight minutes of game time.

Jake Elliott’s extra point helped give Philadelphia a four-point lead with 6:56 left in the first half.

Philadelphia’s offense advanced 72 yards in seven plays and scored the first touchdown of the game. Quarterback Jalen Hurts took the snap from under center in an empty backfield and tossed the ball to Goedert for a 3-yard touchdown.

Jake Elliott’s extra point helped the Eagles cut the lead to three points with 1:49 left in the first quarter.

New York’s offense took just four plays to advance 66 yards and score. Quarterback Jackson Dart scrambled away from second-and-nine pressure and found Wan’Dale Robinson on the right sideline. Robinson escaped a tackle by Andrew Mukuba and sprinted down the right sideline, scoring yet another Giants touchdown.

Jude McAtamney’s extra point was no good, but the Giants held a 10-point lead with 5:37 left in the first quarter.

New York’s defense interfered with Saquon Barkley on second-and-5 from the Eagles’ own 34-yard line, resulting in a loss of three yards. On the next play, Giants edge rusher Brian Burns looped inside for a drive-stopping sack and lost eight yards.

With 7 minutes and 39 seconds left in the first quarter, the Giants’ offense recovered the ball at their own 34-yard line.

Facing third-and-7 from the Eagles’ own 19-yard line, Giants quarterback Jackson Dart evaded the tackler and sprinted for a touchdown, his second rushing score of his rookie season. A 34-yard shot from Dart to Lil’ Jordan Humphrey set up the Giants near the red zone.

New York leads Philadelphia with 9:59 left in the first quarter.

Saquon Barkley ran for 31 yards on his first two carries, but the Eagles offense limited him to just five yards and he was given a breather. Dallas Goedert couldn’t get past his marker from the Giants’ 29 to third and 10, and the Eagles brought in their special teams unit.

Jake Elliott made a 42-yard field goal with 11:59 left in the first quarter to give the Eagles a 3-0 lead.

Yes, it didn’t take long. Saquon Barkley took the first snap 19 yards just over Gatto, giving the Eagles a first down. He returned to center and got the first down.

Philadelphia would have great field position, as the first kickoff did not fall into the landing zone (inside the 20-yard line). Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley and others will start the first drive from their own 40-yard line.

During the Giants’ Week 4 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, Nabers tore his ACL and meniscus while jumping to catch a pass.

Giants vs. Eagles predictions

It’s a beautiful October night in East Rutherford, kicking off spooky season. The defending champions haven’t lost in a row since December 2023, and that streak is unlikely to end tonight against a reeling Giants team featuring a rookie quarterback. This feels like the perfect spot for the Eagles. Slumping stars Saquon Barkley and AJ Brown will lead the charge to double-digit wins.

prediction: Eagles 26, Giants 16
