President Donald Trump meets Edan Alexander, the last remaining Israeli-American hostage to be released from Hamas prisoners, at the White House, which marks the second anniversary of a Hamas-led attack on Israel.

Alexander, 21, spent 584 days under prisoners, grew up in New Jersey, moved to Israel at the age of 19, attended tenafree high school before joining the Israeli Defense Forces. He was among the 251 hostages lured by Hamas during the terrorist attack on October 7, 2023.

Trump’s oval office meeting with Alexander, scheduled for 3pm ET, was introduced on set as consultations are underway under Trump’s Peace Plan. 29, alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The 20-point peace proposal aims to see the release of all remaining Israeli hostages, with Israel aimed to halt its enclave bombing campaign. Around 50 hostages are still in Gaza, but only about 20 of them are thought to be still alive.

Alexander was born in Tel Aviv to Israeli parents Adi and Yael, but their family moved to the United States in 2008 when they were babies in Maryland before settling in Tenafrie, New Jersey. Thousands of residents of Tenafly and surrounding towns lined the streets with flags and banners, and he cheered as he ran through the town with his motor cards to give him a welcome.

Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and US envoy Steve Witkov are currently in Egypt to confirm the details of the hostage release and peace plan.

On October 3rd, Trump continued his ultimatum to Hamas, saying that if he had not responded to the plan he would have been “crowded and killed.” He also said that the deal would “save” the lives of the remaining “Hamas fighters”!

“If we reach this last accidental agreement, all hell will break out against Hamas, as no one has seen it before. There is some form of peace in the Middle East.”

Trump also asked all “innocent Palestinians” to leave the area soon, saying “everyone will be well taken care of by those waiting for help.”

That same day, Hamas said he agreed to release all living or dead Israelite hostages, under prepared preparations for immediate entry of mediation negotiations to discuss the details.

Trump immediately called on Israel to immediately suspend the Gaza bombing campaign to ensure a safe extraction of the remaining hostages.

“Based on a statement that Hamas just issued, they believe they are ready for lasting peace. Israel must stop the bombing of Gaza soon. Trump said true socially: “Now it’s too dangerous to do that.”

The war began when Hamas militants attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, killing 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages. The subsequent deaths in the Israel-Hamas war claim the lives of more than 66,000 Palestinians, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health, run by Hamas.
