The Dodgers write a new MLB playoff script with Ohtani Win vs. Phillies

  • Shohei Ohtani won the game 1 with Tyler Glasnow earning the hold and Sasaki closed it.
  • Teoscar Hernandez’s seventh 3-run homer moved the Dodgers ahead.
  • Otani went 4-4 on the plate, but hit nine in six innings on the mound.

Philadelphia – It always happens in Hollywood.

The film’s scripts are written and stolen by the producer.

The original idea is created and then copied.

Well, here’s how the Los Angeles Dodgers are doing in the baseball business.

They’re not only copying this postseason formula, they’re stealing it as their own.

The Dodgers, who won the bullpen crater last month, came up with a way this postseason magically healed the wound, and on Saturday he took a blueprint to showcase the Philadelphia Phillies 5-3, showing at Citizens Bank Park with an audience of 45,777.

The Dodgers’ game plan is to have the starters as much as possible as Shohei Ohtani has earned the honors tonight, but instead of closing the game with traditional bailouts, they look to the rest of the starting rotation to fulfill their duties.

He acted like an Oscar winner in Game 1, and the Dodgers returned to lead Tecker Hernandez’s 3-run homer in the seventh, and held it for the final three innings thanks to a starter who suddenly became a bailout.

Tyler Glasnow, who hadn’t been relieved since 2018, came in one inning. Reliever Alex Vescia came in and came to escape the jam. And the thing that had never left the bullpen in his life until September was that it was Sasaki Castle that closed it.

The Dodgers may have plans to put them in the driver’s seat on the road to their second consecutive World Series title.

It certainly works like an appeal for the Washington Nationals on the way to win the 2019 World Series Championship, covering 75% of the innings.

Giants ace Madison Bumgarner became San Francisco folk hero when he left the bullpen in Game 7 against the Kansas City Royals, pitching five shutout innings and leading him to the 2014 World Series Championship.

Starter Chris Sale closed the clinching game at the Boston Red Sox 2018 World Series while Craig Kimbrell watched.

And who was Cy Young’s winner Randy Johnson, who won Game 6 with the Arizona Diamondbacks against the New York Yankees in 2001, won the 2001 New York Yankees?

Start one night and enjoy leaving the bullpen the next night and riding a parade float.

Shoehei, the Dodgers’ two-way MVP, began his first career postseason as a pitcher, playing the role by pitching six innings. He gave up three hits and three runs, retiring 15 of the last 17 batters he faced. His only wound was a two-run triple by catcher JT Realmuto.

“I was a little nervous to imagine myself being there on the mound,” Otani said. “But if I was on the mound and on the field, it would disappear and I was really focused.”

He hit like a pitcher who hits four times in a row in just two times in his career. If a game is needed, he will perform his normal DH duties up to Game 5.

“The reason I’m a two-way player is because that’s me,” Otani said. And at the same time, that’s what the team wants.”

Ah, yes, they ever.

“It certainly never happened at this level,” said Dodgers manager Dave Roberts. “I use a lot of the word compartmentalization, which symbolizes compartmentalization. He is essentially two people in one game in one night.

“Go out and give us six innings and put us in the ball game. People who can manage it, they don’t know those emotions.

Who else can shut down the top of the Phillies completely.

Still, Otani looked to be a 3-0 pitcher until Enrique Hernandez hit a two-run double in six innings.

Knowing that Otani pitched the final inning before Hernandez’s Homer, Roberts turned his eyes to Glasnow in the seventh inning. He quickly mowed the Phillies in the seventh and hit trouble after getting two outs on the 8th.

“It was a bit nice, like an adrenaline boost,” Glasnow said. I enjoyed it. ..

“It’s cool that I didn’t throw into the bullpen for a long time. And just trust me, get out there and throw some big innings, that was amazing.”

What’s more, he says, it was good to see the game from another vantage point, looking at it from the bullpen instead of the bench, immersed in the atmosphere.

“It’s really nice, everyone has their own. There are a lot of good jokes,” Glasnow said. “It’s a good view. There are fans screaming at you. It’s fun. It’s easy to lock in.”

Glasnow left with two outs, and left-handed reliever Alex Vescia came in to retire Edmund Sosa, then it was Sasaki’s turn for the ninth. There was pressure. The fans were screaming. And Sasaki kept him cool.

He calmly hit Realmuto and gave up the double for Max Kepler, prompting an immediate groundout by Nick Castellanos and a weak pop-up by Bison Stott.

The Dodgers discovered that the postseason was approaching.

“What he was doing since he came back has been a gods blessing for us,” Dodgers veteran Reeler Blake Trainen said. “The most confident and dominant person was a surprising person because we see what Sasaki really does as a pitcher.”

It’s extremely difficult considering Sasaki is on the injured list for four months and is on the injured list until he returns on September 24th.

“It’s great to see what these guys are doing for us,” said Dodgers’ three-base hand Max Muncie. “Being a starter is not an easy transition, you have to change the entire routine to come out of the pen. It’s very incredible for the glass to do that and give you a solid inning.

“You know, we had to do the job, but we’re going to rely on our pitching. We believe in them, and they know that.”

And then, with the Dodgers’ improved bullpen, well, why not add a few more blowjobs to the party?

“They were great, their personalities mesh well,” Trainen said. “It was fun. I don’t think it’s odd at all. But at the end of the day, whether it’s the first or the ninth inning, we’re still throwing a ball that’s 60 feet, 6 inches and what we’re still playing.

“There’s no perfect blueprint in October. It’s healthy. Play a beautiful baseball. And there’s a bit of wealth on your side.

“That’s what we’re doing. We’re looking to push it, make it as messy as possible and get it done as quickly as possible.”

Yes, how many starters might take.
