President Donald Trump’s Budget Director has announced that $2.1 billion in federal infrastructure in Chicago has been suspended as governments continue to target blue cities and state funds amidst shutdowns.

White House management and budget director Russell Vought said frozen dollars have been allocated to support improvements to the Chicago Transit Authority Railroad.

Vought previously announced that home states for the $18 billion infrastructure fund, New York and Democratic Congress leaders Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer have been put on hold, cutting $8 billion for 16 Blue State energy projects.

Democrats complain about the funding cuts.

“We’ve been less than a day for this closure, and Trump & Vault is illegally punishing a Democratic-led nation,” Sen. D-Washington said on social media, dubbed “Mafioso’s Tactics.”

Trump spoke about cutting “Democrats” during the closure. “He’s met with him attacking to decide which of the many Democratic institutions is political fraud,” the president said on October 2nd.

The president rebutted with Chicago leaders amid the threat of deploying national security forces in the city.

The Department of Homeland Security recently said that the deployment of the National Guard “protects federal personnel, property and functions,” according to the pentagon.

“Decisions will be made according to an established process and announced at the right time,” said Sean Parnell, a Pentagon spokesperson.
