Ford Motor Co. is taking advantage of the NFL moments to get both excellent marketing and not disrupt Detroit Lion wide receiver Isaac Teslaa.

Because the Ford Family owns Ford Motor Co. and owns the Lion, the automaker has decided to give the wide receiver a new silver all-electric 2025 F-150 lightning bolt. On Monday, Ford spokesman Dan Barbossa said the vehicle was merely a loan as part of Teslaa’s “ambassador” with the company.

Barbossa said, “Teslaa’s electric NFL debut has attracted everyone’s attention. Even Ford makes sure that, despite his last name, Teslaa’s wheels are definitely Ford.”

Ford delivered his new vehicle to Teslaa over the weekend, and in a statement to the Free Press ahead of his game against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, September 28th, he was part of the Lions and said his connection with Ford would make his dream come true.

“I was excited when Ford approached me,” Teslaa said. “Growing up, I always dreamed of playing at Ford Field.

“I’ve been a Ford fan for the rest of my life. I’m excited to drive a new F-150 lightning bolt. I’m excited to continue chasing this dream and see where I’m taking it.”

Teslaa has an incredible start to the season, making two amazing one-handed catches in their first two NFL games.

The Detroit Lions are run by Sheila Ford Hamp, a sister to Billford, the executive chair of Ford Motor Corporation. His father, William Clayford Sr., bought the team in 1963.

Barbossa said Teslaa received the Platinum Edition Lightning. This starts at $84,995, according to the Ford website. In addition to the extended range battery and dual motors for high performance, Nirvana leather seats, Bang & Olufsen sound system and panoramic moon roof are standard equipment. This includes Ford’s Hands-Free Blue Cruise Driving System and its onboard Pro Power. You can turn your vehicle into a mobile generator.

Last month, Ford presented the New York Mets baseman Pete Alonso with a new F-150, admitting to breaking the New York Mets’ home run record with 253 career home runs. Daryl Strawberry held a long record with 252 home runs.
