Uncrustables is increasing its protein intake with the launch of several new products.
The best known brand for frozen sandwiches has released several new “high protein” inappropriate options that promise to support a “more balanced start without compromising on taste or convenience.”
The new products, including higher protein PB & JS, a gross bright-eyed berry sandwich, and Uncrustables Up & Apple sandwich, each contain 12 grams of protein per serving.
In addition to protein, all new Uncrustables sandwiches feature “more fiber and whole grains.” Starting October, it will be available for purchase at select retailers.
“Made for flavor and quick mornings, these frozen sandwiches are perfect for those looking for a protein-packed start to the day, according to a September 29 statement from JM Smucker Co., owner of Uncrustables. “Whether heading to school, work, or the gym, the grumpy protein PB&JS is a snack for your morning momentum.”

The “higher protein” sandwich, like other frozen sandwiches in the mismatched portfolio, are individually wrapped and ready to be enjoyed directly from the freezer. Each sandwich, made with “coveable” peanut butter, is paired with fruit-forward jam or jelly.
Two new flavors included in this protein-packed startup include:
- Bright eyed berries: Peanut butter and strawberry jam sandwich
- Up & Apple: Peanut butter and apple cinnamon sandwich
According to JM Smucker Co., the new additions are the existing lineup of “complementary” grapes, strawberries, honey, raspberry and chocolate-flavored hazelnut spreads, as well as sugar grape reductions, sugar strawberries and other seasonal limited edition flavors.
Where to buy illicit sandwiches with “higher protein”
A new “high protein” fraudulent sandwich assortment can be purchased at Walmart, Target and Kroger, which starts in October. According to JM Smucker Co., the 8-count box will be sold for $10.46.
