Chipotle Mexican Grill drops a new “tangy and bright” sauce with chili pepper and coriander flavours.

The new red chimichurri from the fast food chain is made with roasted garlic, fresh coriander, chili peppers and citrus juices, and prepares fresh in-restaurant agents every day. A news release from Chipotle called it “a chef-driven source that complements Chipotle’s entree.”

“Red Chimichurri unlocks an entirely new flavor profile that is different from the menu items we introduced previously,” Chipotle President and Chief Brandt said in the release. “This is more than a new sauce. It’s a new way for fans to become creative and build the ultimate flavor combination.”

The sauce will be available in the US and across Canada from Tuesday, September 30th for a limited time, with Chipotle Reward members having the option to try it for free on the release date.

Red Chimichurri Entree Pairing

Vice President of Culinary Nevielle Panthaky at Chipotle recommends the following Antrée pairing for fun with Red Chimichurri.

  • Burrito Roast Meat: White rice, black beans, khan asada, fresh tomato salsa, guac, cheese, romaine lettuce, red chimichuri
  • Chicken Bowl: White rice, black beans, chicken, roasted chili corn salsa, guac, cheese, red chimichuri
  • Sofritas Bowl: Brown rice, Pinto Beans, Sofritas, Fajita Vegetables, Roast Chilicorn Salsa, Fresh Tomato Salsa, Guac, Romaine Lettuce, Red Chimichuri

How to make Chipotle’s Red Chimichur sauce free

Chipotle Rewards members can purchase at least one regular Antrée and try Red Chimichurri for free on Tuesday, September 30th. The offer will automatically be included in your account on the Chipotle app or website, the restaurant added that the offer is not void for catering or ordering on third-party delivery platforms. Only guests who sign up for Chipotle rewards by 8pm (5pm ET) on Monday, September 29th will receive a free offer.

Additionally, new members will get a free GUAC offer immediately upon registration.

Chipotle brings back Khan Asada

Chipotle’s latest drop comes weeks after Carne Asada, the brand’s most searched menu item, was first introduced in Chipotle in 2019, brought home Carne Asada, the fourth menu item, according to the restaurant.

Made with marinated grilled steak, carne asada is “seasoned with distinctive spice blends such as cumin, coriander, garlic and oregano, sliced ​​into the perfect soft, juicy bite and finished with lime and corianthro.

“The red chimichurri is a whole new way to pair it with Asagi deliciously and enjoy one of Chipotle’s most beloved limited time,” the company said.
