Emma Watson opens about JK Rowling’s anti-transview
After six years of off from acting nearly 15 years since the “Harry Potter” franchise concluded, Emma Watson was recently opened up about a different opinion with J.K. Rowling.

JK Rowling informs her feelings about her statements against her political views about the “Harry Potter” star.
Writing his beloved young adult series and essential to creating a highly popular film franchise based on the book, Rowling has been an outspoken opponent of trans rights in recent years.
In X’s long tillard, she aims for the “privilege” of actress Emma Watson, talking about personal communication between the two, Rowling says that she is ready to hug her tongue long and enter the ring with the actress from “Beauty and Beast.”
“I don’t have an eternal agreement from the actor who played the character I once created,” Rowling, 60, wrote in a September 29th post. “The idea is as ridiculous as checking out the boss I had when I was 21 on what I had to say recently.
“Emma Watson and her co-stars have all the rights to embrace the ideology of gender identity,” she continued. “That belief is legally protected and I don’t want to see them being threatened with loss of work, violence or death for them.”
Her post follows a recent interview in which Watson, who played Hermione Granger in all eight of the “Harry Potter” films, said she cherished the time she spent together despite her vehemently opposed Rowling’s views.
“I really don’t believe in that experience and I have the love, support and opinion that it means I don’t value Joe and I have the individual experiences.” “I never believe that one person will deny the other and deny that person’s experience.
“There’s no world where I can cancel her or cancel her,” Watson said.
However, that love didn’t seem to flow in either direction as Rowling expressed disappointment at X that Watson continued to speak out about their tense relationship.
“Emma and Dan in particular have made it clear over the past few years that we believe our previous association of professionals has given them a certain right to publicly criticize me and my views,” she wrote. Radcliffe and Watson, and Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley in the film, have distanced himself from Rowling’s anti-trance perspective over the past decade.
“A few years after they finished acting in Potter, they continue to take over the role of de facto spokesmen of the world I created,” she continued. “It’s hard to shake up certain protections when I’ve known people since I was 10. Until recently, I couldn’t abandon the memories of children who needed to be kind and collaborative through dialogue in a big scary movie studio.
USA Today reached out to Watson representatives for comment.
Rowling went on to say that Watson’s 2022 speech delivered at the BAFTA Awards was widely seen as a message of support for the trans community and was a “turning point” for her. She claimed that Watson requested Rowling to hand over a handwritten note saying, “I’m sorry I’m so sorry that I’m going to be so sorry that you’re going through.”
“This came back when the threat of death, rape and torture against me was at their peak. I was always worried about the safety of my family when I had to significantly tighten my personal security measures,” Rowling wrote in X.
“Like others who have never experienced an adult life that is not caught up in wealth and fame, Emma has very few real-life experiences of ignorance about how ignorant she is,” the author writes, listing a set of scenarios in which she feels “mixed” institutions. The tone she adopted coincides with much of the history of public comments on gender fluidity and transgender rights.
“I wasn’t a millionaire in 1.4 billion years. I was in poverty while writing the book that made Emma famous,” Rowling wrote. “Therefore, I understand from my life experience how Emma understands the trash can of women’s rights that has been very enthusiastic about participating for women and girls without her privilege.
“The biggest irony here is that Emma had not decided in a recent interview to declare that she would love me and treasure me — I think she was adopted because she realized that my total corrupt accusations were no longer too fashionable — I might not have been this honest,” the author continued.
“Adults cannot expect to be comfortable with activist movements that regularly call assassinations of their friends and assert their rights to the love of their former friends, as if their friends were actually mothers,” she added. “Emma is against me and can actually discuss her feelings about me in public, but I have the same rights and I have finally decided to exercise it.”
Glaad, a global LGBTQ+ advocacy and nonprofit organization, has identified Rowling as one of the most prominent anti-trans voices in entertainment, excluded both her financial involvement in the UK Supreme Court, excluded trans women from their legal definitions and removed the history of anti-trans rhetoric online.
