President Donald Trump will be attending the last minute meeting of the military’s top brass in northern Virginia on September 30th.

The president’s plan added another layer to the already mystical and perhaps unprecedented meeting, with the Department of Defense refusing to clarify the reasons for the meeting. The order from Defense Secretary Pete Hegses will house hundreds of senior military leaders around the world, convened at Quantico, a Marine Corps base about 30 miles south of the Pentagon.

White House officials confirmed Trump’s plans, first reported by the Washington Post and the New York Times. The Pentagon did not immediately return a request for comment from USA Today.

Meetings with such senior leaders are usually planned a few months in advance, throwing a schedule of confusion as military leaders rush to Tuesday’s meeting.

According to the Washington Post, all senior officers from the brigadier general must attend the meeting. According to Congress’s Research Services, around 800 officers are currently categorized into that category.

According to Reuters, Hegses is expected to discuss the need to adhere to the “warrior spirit” of the entire army, allowing them to touch other areas during the approximately one-hour event.
