US LBM Coach Poll: Georgia looks strong, Clemson drops
USA TODAY SPORTS ‘Paul Myerberg defeats the struggle to start the season for Georgia’s Tennessee and Clemson
Another week’s wild finish and some surprises shuffled the polls of US LBM coaches. But once again, the change did not reach its peak.
The team ranks 1st to 7th, but this week we had an easier time than the rest of the teams. Ohio has won 62 of the 67 votes this week, and 62 this week. Pennsylvania remains in second place with three No.-1 nods. No. 3 Georgia and No. 4 LSU each request the number one vote. Oregon, Miami (Fla.) and Texas are also stable.
Illinois will climb from 8th to 8th, the best Illini season rankings for fighting Illini on the eve of the Key Big Ten clash with 17th-ranked Indiana. Florida State Safe is 3rd to 9th. Texas A&M made its biggest move this week, climbing to seventh place, following their last minute victory at Notre Dame.

Meanwhile, Fighting Ireland will fall from No. 8 to No. 21 as last season’s playoff runner-up still seeks the first win of the campaign.
It was a tough weekend for Palmetto State, as both Clemson and South Carolina were defeated. The Gamecocks will at least vote for No. 24 after losing to Vanderbilt at home. The Commodores will make their season voting debut at No. 23 thanks to their victory.
Clemson dropped out of the rankings after being handed over a second loss of his young season by Georgia Tech. This will be 19th place and move on to the poll. Also participating in the rankings are Missouri No. 22, who took No. 25 Auburn, after hiding just outside the top 25 last week. South Florida and Arizona have also been dropped out.
