The world of Charlie Kirk’s death and leaving is divided
The murder of conservative political commentator Charlie Kirk separates politicians and citizens from around the world.
Authorities will address the media in an update in connection with the murder of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk, fatally filmed at a student-sponsored event held in Orem, Utah on Wednesday, September 10th.
Kirk, 31, was shot in the neck while holding the first “I Wrong” table, a series of live debates at Utah Valley University, held at schools and universities around the country.
Kirk’s National Campus Tour Series, which had the opportunity for audience members to discuss Kirk and his team in a public setting, was called the “American Comeback Tour.”
Authorities are still looking for shooters, but have recovered a “powerful rifle” that appears to have been used to fire a single deadly shot. Photos of new people of interest were released by the FBI on Thursday, September 11th.
“The shooting is believed to be a targeted attack. The shooter is believed to have fired fire from the roof of the building to the location of a public event in a student courtyard,” the Utah Department of Public Safety said in a statement. “We cannot provide additional explanations to protect the integrity of the investigation.”
The UVU campus where the shooting took place will be closed for the remainder of the week as authorities gather evidence.
