Delta offers Shake Shack Burgers on more flights
The partnership with Delta’s expansion burger chain means that more first class passengers can enjoy Shake Shack Burger on flights from various US cities.

Shake Shack serves the iconic burger with a new twist.
The New York-based Fast Food Joint features a falling menu that “returns decadent and elevated flavors of French onion soup” and “rethinks comfortable food in a way that shakes the shack.”
In addition to burgers inspired by French onion soup, Shake Shack presents brand new side options on popular demand. Onion Ring is also bringing back fan favorite coffee shakes from National Coffee Day, “we film the crispy, beer-covered take on the classic side.”
“We have set out to capture the depth of classic soup using French onion menus,” Shake Shack’s executive chef and VP of Culinary Innovation John Carrangis said in a statement. “We created flavors on layers, ranging from slow-cooked caramelized onions and roasted garlic to melted gruyere and crunchy sweet onions.
Nick West, senior manager of Culinary Innovation, spoke to USA Today last week with an exclusive tasting as the French onion soup menu experimented with several types of cheese, onions and layering techniques during the making of several years.
“We saw all the different ways to do French onions,” Ust said.
“In any kitchen, there are just a lot of people who (say it really is really good) who need really good or salt.
Wuest noted that the team put together at least five iterations before the final menu was finalized.
“All of our experiences are useful. In the industry, I work for quick service restaurants, diners, fine dining, catering companies, and more,” Wuest says, “We have our collective experience as industry chefs.
What items are available in Shake Shack’s French Onion menu?
The menu, inspired by the new French onion soup, combines the taste of high-quality ingredients with the cravings of Gruyere cheese, caramelized onions and garlic Parmesan for high-quality burgers and fries.”
Here’s what Shake Shack’s new menu includes:
- French Onion Soup Burger: Roasted garlic parmesan aioli on 100% Angus beef patty with Gruyere cheese, caramelized onions, crispy sweet onions and toasted potato bread.
- French Onion ‘Shloom Burger: Topped with crisp Porto Bello mushrooms filled with melted munester and cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and garlic Parmesan aioli roasted in toasted potato bread.
- French Onion Shack Stuck: The 100% Angus Beef Pate is a 100% Angus Beef Paddy topped with “Shloom Burger, Caramelized Onions, and Roasted Garlic Parmesan Aioli” on toasted potato bread.
- Fried Parmesan Garlic: The crispy crinkles are floured with Parmesan cheese, accompanied by sides of roasted garlic parmesan aioli.
- Onion Ring: Crispy beer sprayed onion rings made from sliced sweet Spanish onions are served with sauces of your choice.
- Coffee Shake: Hand spans dark roast coffee with homemade vanilla frozen custard from Shake Shack.

When will Shake Shack’s French Onion Soup Menu be available?
Shake Shack’s new French Onion menu and onion rings will only be available on the Shack app from September 9th. The menu will be available in-store at all Shake Shack locations in the US starting September 12th.
Meanwhile, coffee shakes will be available in all locations starting September 9th.
