Thieves steal Pokémon cards worth $100,000
The new Bedford man has been arrested in connection with a recent theft of more than $100,000 on a collectable Pokémon card.
A pair of wedding crushers faces felony charges after police say they will tie them to nearly $60,000 theft involving a newlywed in California.
The Glendale Police Department in Los Angeles County reported that an uninvited wedding guest on August 31st slipped into the Renaissance Banquet Hall and dropped out in a gift box.
Video surveillance from scenes posted online by Fox 11 shows a man standing near the doorway, quickly grabbing a gift box from the table and fleeing the venue.
Police reported that the suspect had entered a waiting black SUV driven by a second suspect, and the pair fled the scene. Detectives said the newlyweds didn’t know that neither was suspicious.
The victim said the burglars stole nearly $60,000 with dozens of checks in the box.

Detectives used video surveillance and department resources to arrest the suspect by Armean Shirehjini, 41. On Thursday, September 4th, police said, Shairehjini was arrested at his Sherman Oaks home.
On the same day, police arrested Andranik Avetician, 37, of Los Angeles.
The newlyweds steal cash and checks recovered from the wedding crusher’s home
Detectives executed search warrants at both suspects’ homes and recovered “a ton of cash and dozens of checks” for the newlyweds, police said.
Additionally, police said they seized firearms and “various drugs” from their homes.
Online records from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Office show that both suspects are being held without being held.
Records also show that both defendants are set to appear before a judge on Tuesday, September 9th. Court documents do not indicate whether they have obtained an attorney.
