The chances of winning Powerball and Mega Millions are not your favour
The chances of hitting a jackpot with the Mega Millions or Powerball are around 192 million. Here’s what you’re more likely to land than a big buck.
After a month-long, no winner-winning streak, two tickets purchased in Missouri and Texas won the second-highest Powerball Jackpot.
“Congratulations to the latest Powerball Jackpot winners for selling winning tickets and the Missouri Lottery and Texas Lottery,” Iowa Lottery CEO Matt Straune, in a chair with the Powerball Products Group, said in a statement. “For every $2 ticket sold during this Powerball jackpot run, players have given them a chance to win prizes, but they also support important public programs and services in the community. It’s worth celebrating!”
The winner would beat all the odds and be more likely to be eaten by sharks or hit by lightning than he would win a Powerball jackpot worth $1.787 billion in Powerball Drawing on Saturday, September 6th.
