The Powerball Jackpot is estimated at $1.8 billion! Here’s how you can try to win the second-highest jackpot in Powerball history:

When jackpots get historically high, it’s no wonder that everyone wants to get a winning ticket, but to do so, they first have to find a way to play the lottery. Luckily, Powerball is available in most states at grocery stores, gas stations and even online.

If you want to play, there is one in every 292.2 million people who will win a jackpot.

Here’s what you need to know about where and how you can buy a Powerball ticket:

Are you the right age?

Everyone wants to be a billionaire, but you must be old enough to legally gamble in your state.

In most states, you must be over 18 to purchase a lottery ticket. However, in the following states, you must be a little older to buy or redeem the lottery.

  • Arizona: According to the Arizona lottery, 21 years old
  • Louisiana: According to the Louisiana Lottery, 21 years old
  • Nebraska: According to the Nebraska lottery, age 19

Check your state laws to see if you are eligible to play the lottery.

Where can I buy Powerball tickets?

Now that I’ve confirmed I’m gambling age, I’m ready to buy tickets!

Depending on your location, you can purchase tickets at a grocery store, convenience store or gas station. Some airport terminals may also be sold.

You can also order tickets online Jack Pocket, the official digital lottery delivery company of the USA Today NetworkThese US and territories include Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Maine, Maine, Maine, Maine, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Washington, DC, and West Virginia. How do you ask the cashier for a Powerball ticket?

If you purchase tickets directly, you can ask for a “quick pick” where your computer generates numbers for you. If you feel very fortunate, you can choose the numbers yourself.

The cashier asks if he is interested in “power play.” This option adds an additional fee, but multiplies the non-jackpot prize by a factor of 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10.

If you have your own numbers selected, select five numbers between 1 and 69 on the white ball and one number between 1 and 26 in Red Powerball.

When you purchase a Powerball ticket, the cashier will give you a slip of paper containing the numbers you have selected or computer generated and printed.

How much is the Powerball ticket?

Powerball tickets cost $2 per play, and an additional $1 if you choose to bundle with Power Play for a total of $3.

You can also purchase multiple plays and tickets at once.

What do I do after I buy a Powerball ticket?
