Demi Moore opens up about Bruce Willis’s battle with dementia
Demi Moore shared insights into her ex-husband, Bruce Willis’ battle with dementia during her recent appearance on Oprah Winfrey’s podcast.

Bruce Willis is posing with his family in a rare new photo in his battle with dementia.
The legendary 70-year-old “Die Hard” actor will be posing with his 47-year-old wife Emma Heming Willis, ex-wife and Oscar nominee Demi Moore, as well as his daughters from the exclusive Vanity Fair Photos, which was released on September 5th.
In a sweet snap, Heming Willis and Moore, 62, are posing next to Willis’ youngest daughters, Mabel, 11 and 13. Moore is also a photo of her eldest daughter’s first child, Luetta Thomas Willis, hugging her family photo.
Heming Willis wrote his memoir, “Unexpected Journey: Finding Your Caregiving Paths and Finding Yourself,” scheduled to be released on Tuesday, September 9th. The family announced Willis’s dementia diagnosis in 2023.
The photo was last week when Heming Willis denounced critics for choosing to live separately from her husband, allowing Willis to be helped by professional caregivers in a different and ultimately calm environment.
On Tuesday, August 26th, in a special about ABC’s family journey, Heming Willis revealed that the “Die Hard” star lives in another home after his battle with frontotemporal dementia. After the interview sparked backlash, Heming Willis responded on Instagram in an August 29 video.
“What I knew is to see these two camps by sharing some of our intimate information,” Heming Willis said in the video. “It’s probably people who have more opinions than people who have real experience.”
The actress and caregiver advocates said that those with opinions will “quickly judge caregivers” and that fans will tell them “that caregivers are opposed, and that they will judge others.”
Appearing on the September 2nd “Oplar Podcast,” Moore praised the way Bruce Willis’ wife has cared for him in her battle with frontotemporal dementia. Willis and Moore remained friends for several years after splitting over 20 years ago, and the A-list exe has long been a model of positive cooperation despite their divorce in 2000 after tying the knot in 1987.
“I am a very caring and young woman with this,” Moore said. “There’s no way for anyone to predict where this will go, and I think she did a fantastic job. She’s very dedicated to building the right path.
