President Donald Trump has gathered who is who is in the elites of the tech world for dinner at the White House, leaving one notable industry giant out.

Among those invited to dinner on September 4 are Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Apple’s Tim Cook, Google’s Sergey Brin, Sundal Pichai and Open’s founder Sam Altman. Not on the list: Elon Musk, the leaders of Tesla, X, SpaceX and Xai were once one of Trump’s closest allies before he dropped out.

After his former cool relationship with Silicon Valley, Trump was accepted by many technical leaders in his second term, and the president took a positive approach to the industry, promoting cryptocurrency, foreigners adopting technical regulations and pushing for American domination plans for artificial intelligence while dropping AI restrictions on former President Joe Biden.

The White House invited technical leaders represent some of the world’s largest AI companies. First Lady Melania Trump hosted an AI-focused White House event early on the day Altman and Pichai attended.

“The robots are here. Our future is no longer science fiction,” Melania Trump said at the event.

US companies are competing to establish AI control over China. Trump was a big booster. He appointed venture capitalist David Sachs to White House AI and Crypto Czar.

Sachs outlined the Trump administration’s efforts to ensure that the US “dominates” with AI and thanked the technical leaders who participated in “putting in America” for previous AI events.

Trump has implemented an aggressive tariff program, urging businesses to move manufacturing to the US, and many people have announced new US investments. In August, they co-cooked Trump at the White House, where Apple touted $100 billion in spending on US businesses.

“You’re all in America,” Sachs told technology leaders on September 4th.

The Trump administration has released an artificial intelligence blueprint aimed at loosening environmental rules and significantly expanding AI exports to allies.

Trump’s AI plan, which includes around 90 recommendations, calls for exports of US software and hardware overseas and cracking down on state laws that are deemed too restrictive to thrive.

Meta, Google, Microsoft, Apple and Openai are all major players in the AI market. Zuckerberg, Pichai, Cook and Altman all attended Trump’s inauguration.

Musk also attended the inauguration and led Trump’s government efficiency to overhaul the federal government, but has rebutted the president since leaving the White House. According to White House officials, he was not on the dinner invitation list.

Musk, the richest man in the world, is one of the most prominent figures in the high-tech world and has been critical of others in the industry. Last month, he threatened legal action by accusing Apple of “anti-trust violations” involving the App Store and AI. “This is a surprising claim given that I’ve heard Elon is trying to manipulate the X to benefit himself,” Altman replied on social media. Altman and Musk continued to go back and forth online. They founded Openai together before Musk left the company.

The dinner invitation list includes two dozen top technology figures. Other names on the list include Figma CEO Dylan Field, Groq President Sunny Madra, Social Capital founder Chamath Palihapitiya, Zynga founder Mark Pincus, Ring Founder Jamie Siminoff, and Oracle CEO Safra Catz.

Also includes David Limp, CEO of Blue Origin, Sanjay Mehrotra, CEO of Micron Technology, Greg Brockman, President of Openai, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, founder of Tibco, and Shyam Sankar, Chief Technology Officer of Palantir.
