WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump has proposed that he cannot send National Guard troops to Chicago as he repeatedly threatened, and for the first time introducing New Orleans, a potential new target for his next criminal crackdown.

The day after he declared, “We’re on Chicago’s plans,” Trump said on September 3rd that his administration has yet to decide whether he will deploy his troops to the country’s third largest city. Instead, Trump pointed to New Orleans, a Republican-led state city, as opposed to democratically-led Illinois.

“We’re determined now,” Trump told reporters in his oval office. “We’re going to Chicago or we’re going to places like New Orleans, where we have the great governor Jeff Landry, who wants to straighten out a very wonderful section of this country.

“So I’m probably going to Louisiana,” Trump added.

Trump has repeatedly asked JB Pretzker, the Democratic government of Illinois, to seek help from the Trump administration to fight crime in Chicago.

“We were able to straighten Chicago, all they have to do is ask us,” Trump said.

This is a developing story.
