Jaguar, a luxury car brand, has announced a new colorful branding
Luxury car brand Jaguar announces it is a rebrand and wants to reflect the spirit of founder Irri William Lyons.
Jaguar Land Rover’s retail and production activities have been “grossly confused” after the cybersecurity incident, the British luxury automaker said on Tuesday, adding that it is working to reopen its operations in a controlled way.
The company, owned by India’s Tata Motors Tamo.NS, said at this stage it found no evidence that customer data had been stolen after shutting down the system to reduce impact. No details were provided.
Tata Motors did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment.
The confusion adds to the JLR disaster after a July report said it delayed the launch of the electric Range Rover and Jaguar models due to more testing and demand.
Automakers are the latest UK companies to hit cybersecurity incidents in recent months amid a surge in cyber and ransomware attacks as more and more sophisticated threat actors destroy operations and compromise sensitive data.
Last month, UK retailer M&S MKS.L clicked to collect clothing orders after nearly four months of rest following cyber hacks and data theft. Hackers also attempted to break into the Retailer Cooperative Group’s 42te.L system in April.
