JD Vance reflects an oval office conflict with Zelenskyy
Vice President JD Vance says the intense exchange of oval offices with the Ukrainian president revealed tensions in the major US ukraine.

Kiev, Aug 30 (Reuters) – Former Ukraine parliament president Andry Parby was shot dead in Lviv, Western city on Saturday, and a search for the murderer was underway.
Prosecutors say the gunman fired several shots at Parviy and killed him on the spot. The attackers fled and said the Manhunt was launched.
Parubiy, 54, is a member of Parliament and served as Speaker of Parliament from April to August 2016, and was one of the leaders of the protests in 2013-14 for close ties with the European Union.
He was also the Executive Director of the Ukraine National Security and Defense Council from February to August 2014, and was the period of battles beginning in eastern Ukraine and Russia, annexing the Crimea Peninsula.
Officials did not immediately indicate whether the murders were directly related to Russian war in Ukraine.
“Internal Minister Ihor Klymenko and prosecutor Ruslan Kravchenko have just reported on the first known situation of the horrifying murder at Lviv. Andriy Parubiy,” President Volodymyr Zelenskiy wrote about X.
He sent the apologies to Parvii’s family and loved ones, adding that “all the necessary forces and means are engaged in the investigation and searching for the murderer.”
National police said the shooting at LVIV was reported around noon (0900 GMT). Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi said it is most important to find the murderer and establish the situation of the attack.
“This is a matter of security in the country during war, and there is no place completely safe, as we can see,” he wrote in the telegram.
The tribute will be poured
The tribute poured out by council and government colleagues praised Parby’s contribution to the Ukrainian battle for sovereignty and independence as one of the leaders of what became known as the Euromaidan protest in 2013-14.
Former President Petro Poroshenko told Telegram that the killing of Parby, a member of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Report, was “shots fired in the heart of Ukraine.”
“Andri was a great man and a real friend. So they do revenge. That’s what they fear,” he said.
In a statement on Telegram, Foreign Minister Andri Sibikha described Parby as “a patriot and politician who has made a significant contribution to the defense of Ukraine’s freedom, independence and sovereignty.
Ukrainian law enforcement agencies did not provide information regarding the identity or motive of the killer.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Swillidenko called for a quick investigation into the murders, calling it the country’s “deep loss.”
“You have always been a Ukrainian patriot and have made a great contribution to the formation of our nation,” she wrote in X.
