DOJ releases Ghislaine Maxwell interview audio
The Justice Department has released audio of an interview with Gislaine Maxwell, including comments on Jeffrey Epstein and President Donald Trump.
Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie condemned comments from Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplice, Gislaine Maxwell, saying President Donald Trump had not committed any guilty of fraud and praised him as “heartedly” and “kind.”
“She said she might have taken Donald Trump, or President Trump, “The man who can forgive me has never done anything wrong. A man who can forgive me is always great,” Christie, a critic of Trump’s unusual voice, said on August 24th, “this week.”
“I don’t think Donald Trump had anything to do with the uncomfortable or illegal Jeffrey Epstein, but are you going to believe in Gislane Maxwell?” Christie asked. “Please take a break.”
Maxwell praises Trump as a “gentleman”
Maxwell told Attorney General Todd Blanche last month during an interview that Trump was “not inappropriate for anyone,” and that he was “a gentleman in every respect.”
“Trump has always been so sincerely kind and I just want to say I found it. I admire his extraordinary achievements as president now,” Maxwell said, according to a transcript of the conversation published by the Justice Department on August 22.
Maxwell has sentenced him to 20 years in prison after being convicted of procuring a young girl who was sexually abused by Epstein, a dishonest investor whose past close relationship with Trump sparked a fire in recent months.
Maxwell appealed to her beliefs and signaled in an interview that she wanted a pardon from Trump, who hadn’t ruled out it.
Maxwell’s pardon would further incite a fierce flame of speculation surrounding the nature of Trump’s connection with Epstein, and whether his administration had withheld the Epstein Files because of his involvement. Maxwell also quietly moved to the security prison shortly after an interview with Blanche.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Attorney General Pam Bondy told Trump that his name was on the file, and that Trump had sent Epstein a strange birthday card with graffiti of a naked woman, further promoting suspicion.
Trump accused them of “hoos” and said he was “running” by enemies commonly called out, like former President Joe Biden and FBI director James Comey.
The House Oversight Committee summoned the Epstein Files and received the first Trove on August 22, but Democrats on the committee say most of the documents they received have already been made public.
