According to various reports, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released rookie safety Siro Sanders as NFL teams will need to cut their preseason roster to 53 players by 4pm on Tuesday, August 26th.

The move comes after Sanders was kicked out of Tampa’s final preseason game on Saturday, August 23rd, after throwing a punch against Buffalo Bills’ tight end Zach Davidson in the second quarter.

Sanders, 25, was not selected for the NFL Draft in April, but quickly signed with the team as an undrafted free agent. He was listed as third string safety before Saturday’s preseason game.

But his NFL hopes are still alive. He was able to sign the team’s practice team on Wednesday. Or he managed to catch up with another team with a better fit.

Sanders is the middle son of Colorado manager Deion Sanders, whose youngest child, Chedur, quarterback Chedur, was selected in the fifth round by the Cleveland Browns.

Both played for his father in Jackson State and Colorado, leading Buffalo to a 9-4 season last year.

In Shiro’s case, he became known as the intense ballhawk with many college experiences. He led the team in tackles in 2023 (70), and was the third tackler (67) last year (67).

He began his college career in South Carolina in 2019 and 2000, then played for Jackson State and two years in Colorado.

Off the field, his lawyers are trying to get him out of more than $11 million in debt after filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2023. The 2015 case at his school in Dallas and the debt that led to a $11.89 million lawsuit and default ruling relied on the sanitation police of John Daljean, former security guard at his school. Dargent said Shiro punched him and threw the roundhouse elbow at him, leading to Permament’s injury. Shiro Sanders claimed it was self-defense.
