WASHINGTON – The FBI was at the home of former national security adviser John Bolton outside Maryland, according to news reports.

Bolton, who served in President Donald Trump’s first term, became a critic of the administration’s voice of foreign policy and called him unfit to serve the president.

According to the New York Post, FBI agents searched Bolton’s home as part of a national security investigation ordered by FBI director Kash Patel. CNN also reported a search.

“No one is beyond the law,” Patel said in a social media post on August 22 after the search began. “@FBI Agent on Mission.”

Bolton did not mention the search on the August 22 social media post, but said there was no “progress” in Trump, which leads the peace conference between Russia and Ukraine.

“On the other hand, the meeting will continue as Trump wants the Nobel Peace Prize, but I don’t think these talks are making any progress,” Bolton said.
