If late-night defense is the cause of lost defence, Jimmy Kimmel will be shaken.

ABC Comics spoke to Variety in a recent interview. The money issue was “meaningless” Paramount, cited for the recent cancellation of “Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” One of the genre’s top-rated programs, Colbert’s show, was cancelled forever earlier this year, with CBS parent citing financial difficulties.

But others didn’t buy that explanation, instead bent their knees to the president to oil the wheels, assuming that Paramount, which they wanted the Trump administration’s merger approval from the FCC. The merger was approved shortly after the cancellation was announced.

Kimmel, whose unique show is late-night comedy facility, is firmly falling into its camp.

“The idea that Stephen Colbert’s show lost $40 million a year was the ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!” host told Variety in an interview released on August 18th.

Kimmel went on to say that people who claim Colbert is bleeding are focusing on not looking at the entire pie, including affiliate fees. This includes the amount of dollars the television provider pays the network for the right to carry the channel.

USA Today contacted Paramount for comment.

“It’s really amazing how well the media knows about how it works. There’s no chance of snowman in hell that’s exactly where it’s,” he said.

He also expressed his dissatisfaction with the story that the late-night form is a “rotten corpse,” calling it “a great storyline for the press,” but “simply not true.”

“The idea that late night is dead is simply not true. People didn’t see it on network television. But whether these formats sum to the same payouts as live audiences is a different story.

The media environment has been distorting rapidly for over a decade, across genres. This is because creators of countless forms of content are competing to reduce their attention in an increasingly crowded market. Whether Colbert, Kimmel and NBC comrades can break through the noise is an ongoing experiment. But in the meantime, Kimmel says he hopes Colbert can grab Emmy.

“Vote for Stephen seems like the least we can do at this point, and if he wins, it’s going to be a great statement,” he said of the TV awards. “Obviously, the award doesn’t mean much, but sometimes when they do, and in this case, I think I’ll do that. So I think people are very angry about what happened to him and his show, so I’m totally hoping Stephen will win Emmy.”
