Travis Kelce is Taylor Swift’s No. 1 fan. Boyfriend, take notes.

Travisquerce is everywhere this week.

On August 12th, he was shirtless on the cover of GQ. In photo shoots, Kelce presents a stereotypical (and exaggerated) embodiment of masculinity. He is dressed in full fur, construction vests and crocodile on bangles. He does not flinch while he is wrapped in a snake. However, in the interview, he embraces vulnerability, addresses self-doubt and openly speaks about it. He celebrates his superstar girlfriend, Taylor Swift, in the process.

The next day, Swift made his highly anticipated debut as a guest on Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast, during which he released his 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”

Kelse said she is “the best songwriter in the world.”

Swift retorted, “My boyfriend says,” but shouldn’t her boyfriend talk about her partner?

His pride in talking about Swift along with his openness in his GQ interview sets an important example for young men today. Mental health experts say it’s important for boys and young men to understand the importance of showing emotions.

“It breaks the code for men, it’s out of the man’s box and says, ‘Yeah, I’m fragile,'” said Ronald Levant, professor emeritus of psychology at the University of Akron and co-author of “Co-author of Problems with Men: Insights to Overcoming the Childhood of Trauma from the Honorable Psychology.”

A new dawn for emotional men with “black cat boyfriend”

We live through the rise of “black cat boyfriends.” It is the archetype of elusive, emotionally complex love interests on shows such as “Too Much” (Felix), “The Summer I Tunched” (Conrad), and “Ginny and Georgia” (Marcus). And while viewers seem to be rooting for more vulnerable men than ever, we have always had a soft spot for heart-warming, complicated characters. Look at Jess in “Gilmore Girls” or Lucas in “One Tree Hill.”

Celebrities also have moments when it comes to vulnerability. In January, a viral video of a bad bunny crying after his song “DTMF” exploded in Tiktok opened a conversation with a man about his emotions.

“Bad bunnies show that they are not only accepted by young men, but also healthy to stand up and express their emotions. This is something that men and young boys are not taught to do.” “It really pushes and challenges these cultural norms.”

In a GQ interview with Kelce, he said it’s difficult to “block” the increase in media scrutiny. He admits that it affects him, even though people have no control over what they say about him.

“If someone says something you don’t like about you, you have to be able to understand how they portray you yourself to say it,” he says. “I’m the kind of person who doesn’t want anyone to say anything negative about me. Some people don’t (exped). I’m the kind of person who cares.”

He wants to be someone younger people can respect, and tells GQ:

Travisquerce is Swift’s biggest hype

Swift finally posted Kelce on their Instagram feed, Swifties celebrated. They praised Kelse for “loving her loudly.” He praised his joy in her achievements and for the sparklingness of bringing him by her side.

“When we feel confident in our partners, it can feel great to show off them,” Kimberly told USA Today, a licensed clinical social worker, Shashua.

In “New Heights,” Swift shared that she was unable to be happy to be near Travis the moment she regained her master. She came across the next room, sobbing to break the news, and even he shed tears.

“I’m starting to cry too, you know I’m Cree,” he said.

“You were crying,” Swift sighed.

In Swift’s own words, Kelce and Swift “appear with each other.”

“You want to keep things a secret, but at the same time… I’m not here to hide anything,” Kelse said in June 2024.
