Kate Gosselin reveals why she returned to her nursing career after leaving reality television.
The former “Jon & Kate Plus 8” star posted a Tiktok video on Monday, August 11th on 12 hours as a home health nurse and took her to the comments to respond to fans who asked about changes in her career.
“To be honest? I’m proud to say that the university funding that we provide to our eight children covers the university and all other lawyers,” Gosselin replied.
She continued: “I was constantly taking it to court, and it takes a ton of it.
She shared in another comment: “I raised and supported eight kids on my own, but now I have enough college money to go to college or even more! I’ve achieved my goals, but I have no personal retirement 😢.”
Gosselin launched Tiktok last month and shared details about her life, from her love for dogs to a look inside her hair booking.
Gosselin and ex-husband John Gosselin were attacked by Superstarm on the 2007-2009 TLC show “Jon & Kate Plus 8.”
Then, after Gosselin’s bitter 2009 split, TLC rebooted a show featuring nurses moving solo on “Kate Plus 8” from 2015 to 2017.
In addition to “Plus 8,” Gosselin starred in “Dancing with the Stars,” “Celebrity Wife Swap,” and “Celebrity Apprentice,” and most recently appeared in Fox’s military training competition series “Special Forces: World’s Best Test,” in 2023, but she was the first celebrity.
Kate and John Gosselin’s children are 24-year-old twins Cara and Maddie, and 21-year-old SextoPrett. Aeden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel, and Leah. Kate Gosselin is alienated from Colin and Hannah, while John Gosselin is alienated from the rest of his children.
Colin has spoken about his mother “institutionalizing” him and sending him to a care facility in recent years.
Gosselin has previously criticized her son’s claims in a 2023 Instagram post, writing in a lengthy note that he has “mental health issues,” showing “violent tendencies” against her and his siblings.
