USA Today reviews McDonald’s, Popeyez and Taco Bell Snack Wrap
USA Today senior reporter Mike Snider Taste tested the chicken snack wraps from McDonald’s, Popeyez and Taco Bell.
It will be a fall season filled with chicken strips at Wendy’s.
The fast food chain is “expanding its (ITS) chicken lineup” in the fourth quarter by introducing several new menu products, including chicken tenders.
In addition to the chicken bid, Wendy’s is releasing a lineup of “modernized and improved” sauces. Wendy’s announcement comes months after MacCrispy Strip (and creamy chili dip) debuted at McDonald’s.
According to Cook, the chicken bid is “made using the finest quality ingredients, including 100% white meat coated with light, crispy and flavorful panding.”
“Through testing, it was clear that consumers could taste the difference,” Cook said in a revenue call. “I think we are delivering exactly what our customers want. It’s a craving, juicy, hollowing, holistic and delicious product in a rapidly growing part of the protein market.”

Chicken Tenders and Sauce Lineup arrives in October 2025
Wendy’s lineup of chicken tenders and sauces consists of six different sauce varieties, making its debut in the fourth quarter. According to the fast food chain, the fourth quarter will be from October 1st to December 28th.
“We are rolling out a lineup of modernized and improved sauces by launching a chicken bid with six new sauces, including my personal favorite sweet chili, and six new sauces, including the tangy Kick’s new Wendy signature sauce,” Cook said. “Our bids and sources are great and I’m sure our customers will love them too.”
In addition to offering a new menu, Wendy’s is also focusing on “drink innovation.”
A new lineup of caffeinated drinks, including cold brews (and cold foam), energy drinks and hot coffee blends, will also be on the menu.
