Whataburger is celebrating its 75th birthday this week by offering its customers to 75 cent burgers.
The Texas Burger Agency said in a recent news release that the offer can only be redeemed online through the #1 Classic Burger app from 11am to 8pm local time. This offer is limited to one burger per customer with a Whataburger Rewards account.
“This anniversary is a way to say thank you. Thank you for your trust, loyalty and for making us part of your table.”
The company debuted its second collection of limited edition Whataburger Memorial Cups before its August 5th anniversary.
The chain operates more than 1,100 restaurants in 17 states, particularly in Texas, the South and Southwest.
Whataburger 75th Anniversary Ceremony at Corpus Christi
The company said in a press release that the anniversary will be celebrated in his hometown of Corpus Christi.
Whataburger fans are invited to participate in the Whataburger Field festival on August 8th. Corpus Christi Hook, an AA affiliate for the Houston Astros, will now take on the Tulsa Drillers, the AA affiliate for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The hook will be played as honey butter chicken biscuits in the 75th anniversary ceremony game. The first 1,500 fans through the gate will receive a limited edition Whataguy mask, while the first 5,000 will receive a Whataguy Cape signature.
The celebration ends with a send-off that includes a “dazzling orange fireworks show” and a free honey butter chicken biscuit coupon along the way.
“When we celebrate this milestone, we are not simply marking time. We respect the memories, traditions and quality experiences that people come back to,” Stroud said.
