Tesla shares fell about 15% on March 10th. Still, CEO Elon Musk has no plans to slow down his work in the US government.
Early staff from the government’s Department of Efficiency were assaulted in Washington, D.C., during a carjacking attempt on Sunday night.
According to a police report obtained by USA Today, officers observed a group of about 10 children surrounding Edward Colistine’s car and attacked him around 3am Sunday. According to the report, officers immediately got out of the car when they saw the incident and the children fled.
Coristin, who worked for one of Elon Musk’s companies before joining Doge, became an infamous government official due to the colorful nickname he once used online. Musk left the government in May, and many of his staff joined other parts of the government.
According to a police report, Coristine told police he saw the suspect approach the vehicle and commented on taking it. He was with his important others, but he relied on him to deal with the suspect who began attacking him after pushing him into the car for her safety, the police report said.
President Donald Trump posted a photo on social media of the bloody shirtless man Tuesday afternoon.
“Crime in Washington, DC is completely out of control,” Trump wrote. “Local ‘young people’ and gang members, only 14, 15 and 16 years old, are randomly attacking, robbing, suffering and shooting innocent citizens. ”
Police reports do not show that colistin was shot.
“If this continues, I will put my strength into my own way and federalize the city,” Trump wrote.
Local prosecutors will be dealt with primarily by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C., and the Senate confirmed that Trump candidate Janine Piro ordered the role earlier this week.
The Metropolitan Police Department announced Tuesday that it had arrested two 15-year-old children from Maryland. They were charged with unarmed carjacking.
