WASHINGTON – The Trump Administration’s “Five Things” emails are on Elon Musk’s path.

The Human Resources Administration said on August 5 that Musk directed federal workers to submit and detailed their workloads and five achievements when overseeing government efficiency, invalidating the controversial weekly email.

“We contacted the agency HR lead that OPM will no longer manage or use five processes internally. At OPM, we believe that managers will be informed of what their team members are working on and have many other existing tools to do so.

Musk declared infamous that failure to respond to email constitutes the employee’s resignation. The announcement in late February received a strong push back from the department head, and OPM immediately told agency leaders that participation in the survey was voluntary.

The OPM’s decision to end the initiative was first reported by Reuters. Musk left the White House in May and has since announced plans to form a third party.
