WASHINGTON – Radio show host Charlamagne Tha God has suggested that comedian Jon Stewart should run for president in 2028.

His comments come after Harris said he wouldn’t run for the California governor. In an interview scheduled for August 2nd, Charlamanu told Fox News’ “President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump that Stewart will become an “outside change agent” that “shakes things up.”

Stewart is critical of Donald Trump’s policies and holds a progressive perspective. He was a voice advocate for improving access to health care for veterans and first responders. He stopped the Comedy Central Daily Show from 1999 to 2015, and later returned in 2024 as a part-time host.

“We’ve seen him get the laws and stuff like that, like he knows where his mind is, he’s going to pass by before, and he’s going to be someone who really wants to race in 2028 and get things confused.”

Breakfast Club co-host Charlamane said that on the July 31 episode of the show it’s unclear whether Harris should run again in 2028.

Harris said on July 30 that her leadership and public services would be “not in the elected offices” for now. Harris is currently writing a book. The two, who know her plans, are expected to go on tour.
