Delta flights from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam have been decoupled to Minneapolis St. The airline said Paul International Airport was launched after 25 people were taken to hospital after encountering “severe turbulence” on July 30.

The airline said medical personnel boarded the plane shortly after a safe landing around 7:45pm. The plane carried 275 passengers and 13 crew members.

The plane encountered turbulence shortly after reaching 37,000 feet, climbing briefly to about 38,000 feet and descending to less than 35,800 feet. It later stabilized at an altitude of 37,000 feet, according to flight tracking service Flightradar24.

“We appreciate the support of all the emergency responders involved,” the airline said in a statement. “Safety is the number one value in Delta, and the Delta Care team works directly with our customers to support their immediate needs.”
