National Cheesecake Day is Wednesday, July 30th, with the Cheesecake Factory celebrating its customers with new flavors and sweet deals.

The restaurant chain announced last month to USA Today that it launched a new flavor in honor of its holiday. The flavor, called Peach Perfect on Raspberry Drizzle, features peach and peach cheesecake on top of vanilla crust and finished in raspberry sauce, the company told USA Today.

Additionally, the chain will offer “any slices, half price” deals on July 30th. This offer is valid for the first day only for cheesecake reward members to eat.

At the end of the promotion there is a charity element. The company told USA Today that it would donate 25 cents to the United States for each slice of Peach Perfect along with the Raspberry Drizzle, which was sold until July 29, 2026. According to the restaurant chain, they have donated nearly $7 million to the United States in the past through the sale of the featured cheesecake.

The origins of National Cheesecake Day, Cheesecake Factory

According to Old Farmer’s Almanac, National Cheesecake Day was founded in 1985. However, the dessert itself has roots dating back to ancient Greece.

In 1972, Evelyn and Oscar Overton moved to Los Angeles to open the Cheesecake Factory Bakery. According to the restaurant chain’s website, they soon began selling Evelyn’s cheesecakes to restaurants in Los Angeles.

Six years later, son David decides to open a restaurant in Beverly Hills to showcase his mother’s cheesecake. The restaurant became the first place in the cheesecake factory.

Cheesecake Factory comes in a variety of flavors

According to Cheesecake Factory, the menu features more than 30 different cheesecakes. This includes the fresh strawberry flavour, which the company says has been doing its most popular flavour for over 45 years. Other flavors available include the ultimate red velvet cake cheesecake, coconut cream pie cheesecake, and Godiva chocolate cheesecake. Of course, all of these are part of the “slice, half price” deal.
