There may be no more respect for the dark prince of his beloved prince than his unforgettable ballad “Mama, I’m Back Home,” the city he was born 76 years ago, or his unforgettable ballad “Mama, I’m Back Home,” the city he was born in.
His death came just weeks after he reunited with his band Black Sabbath for his final farewell show in England.
Born on December 3, 1948, John Michael Osborn became one of the most influential rock musicians of the 20th century, as the lead singer of Black Sabbath and a prolific solo artist.
Making his 50 years of music, he won five Grammy Awards, and in 2006 Black Sabbath was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Ozzy Osbourne for many years
Throughout his life, Osborne was known for his crazy antics, including eating live bats on stage, eating live dubs at record meetings with executives, and being jailed for urinating at the Alamo Cenotavus.
Osborne also achieved the fame of a reality TV star with “The Osborne,” which aired on MTV, following his family for four seasons from 2002.
He also dealt with ramp-stretching drug addiction and alcoholism, eventually achieving sobriety and releasing his penultimate 2020 album, “The Ordinary Man.”
He leaves his wife, Sharon Osborne, for over 40 years, and daughters Jessica, Amy and Kelly, and sons Elliot, Louis and Jack.
News of his pass may be most addressed by Osborne himself in these lyrics in the lyrics to his 1980 song “Goodbye to Romance” from his first solo album “Blizzard of Ozz”:
“I say goodbye to romance, yeah
Goodbye to my friends, I’ll tell you
Goodbye to all the past
We think we will meet, we will eventually meet. ”
