Rat ads pop up on the sidewalk in New York City
Rat ads create miniature billboards designed for rats who comically reimagined authentic rodent products.
President Donald Trump’s second term sparked a call for new action against businesses and billionaires as regular protests and boycotts occur across the country.
The more complete unions have launched similar forms of protest in several states. Here’s what we know:
Message behind the “We Make, Take Take” billboard
According to a news release in email, 50 new billboards are rising in eight states. They are bright yellow-green and white, depicting certain billionaires and have messages that call the corporate and political exploitation of working-class Americans. Billboard writes things like, “We make minimum wage. They’re taking our Medicaid” and “We enrich big skills. They control our lives.”
Who is “We make, they take the sign”?
Billboard comes in four different designs. Each has different billionaires, including Elon Musk (CEO of Tesla), Mark Zuckerberg (CEO of Meta), Jeff Bezos (founder of Amazon), and Peter Thiel (founder of Paypal).
“Where are we, do they take the sign?
The sign is located in the next city in nine states.
- Colorado Springs, co
- Grand Rapids, Michigan
- Richmond, VA
- Wake County, North Carolina
- Augusta, Georgia
- Pensacola, Florida
- Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- Albuquerque, New Mexico
- Monk, Aia
What is a more perfect union?
The more perfect union calls a nonprofit education, advocacy and journalism organization dedicated to building power for the working class.
“We call simple truths. Working people continue to run the country, but businesses continue to take more and more,” said Fais Shaquille, founder and executive director of the more perfect union. “What we see today is the politically sanctioned exploitation of the working class in America – nurses, teachers, warehouse workers, service workers who hold this country together – benefit all billionaire oligarchs and multinational corporations.
