Official Florida offer deports your ex through an ice hotline

Florida Attorney General James Usmier’s office has been inspired by someone who has overstayed a visa by an abusive ex. My husband is currently being deported. AG offers to do the same for others.

  • Florida Attorney General James Usmieyer encouraged people to report EXEs overestimating their visas to his office.
  • ICE operates a tip line for reporting immigration violations and other crimes.
  • Uthmeier is a supporter of the harsher immigration enforcement voice and was involved in the controversial immigration relocation programme for Martha’s vineyards.

Top Florida prosecutors are encouraging victims of domestic violence or those who have illegally “ex” in the United States to call his office.

“If your ex is illegal in this country, feel free to contact our office and we will be happy to assist you,” Attorney General James Usmier said in a social media post.

Uthmeier said his office received hints from someone whose abusive ex-partner had overestimated a tourist visa. Suspicious abusers are currently in the process of being deported, he said.

While only the federal government can illegally deport individuals from within the country, Florida is working closely with the Trump administration and US immigration customs enforcement.

According to the agency, ICE already has a tip line that receives more than 15,000 calls a month. Staff collect information received from the phone and hand over the information to certain programs within the Department of Homeland Security.

“Individuals around the world can report suspicious criminal activity on ice tip lines 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Highly trained experts report from both public and law enforcement agencies about more than 400 laws enacted by ice,” the agency said on its website.

The agency said it would not provide compensation to help immigrant enforcement.

ICE did not immediately respond to USA Today’s request for comment.

Who is Usmeyer, the brain behind “Alligator Alcatraz”?

Uthmeier is one of the most vocal supporters of the President’s immigration agenda. As the federal government illegally strengthened detention and deportation of immigrants in the country, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis prioritized using state resources to complement the federal efforts.

Usmeyer, formerly the governor’s chief of staff, was also involved in a controversial program that drove immigrants from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts in 2022.

Now he is most famous for his detention centre known as his latest idea, “Crocodile Alcatraz.”

On June 19, Uthmeier posted a video to X, suggesting that the “virtually abandoned” Dade Carrier Training and Transition Airport, a 39-square-mile property with a 10,500-foot runway, could easily be converted into a temporary immigration detention center to support efforts to deploy and deport Florida’s “criminal aliens.”

Crocodile Alcatraz, which began receiving detainees earlier this month, can accommodate up to 3,000 people.

“We want to fill this place,” Usmeyer told President Donald Trump on a visit to detention facilities on July 1. The Attorney General added that the president is “inspiration” for the Everglades Detention Center and “hopefully there’s more.”
