The AOC rings after Schumer says he’ll support Trump’s funding bill
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez didn’t refrain after saying Chuck Schumer would support the Republican halt funding bill to avoid government shutdown.

WASHINGTON – The campaign office of New York Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in the Bronx was destroyed on July 21 amid a recent “multiple threats to the life of lawmakers,” according to her campaign manager Oliver Hidalgo Walben.
Multiple images on social media show her New York campaign office splattered with red paint and a sign saying, “AOC funds the genocide of Gaza.”
“Our office is a hub of community and we want it to be a safe space for all of our neighbors,” Hidalgo-Wohlleben wrote in a July 22nd tweet.
He said, “We have been subjected to multiple threats in the past few days regarding the lawmaker’s life and are taking her seriously with our security partners to ensure she, her staff and volunteers are safe.”
It was not immediately clear who threatened progressive lawmakers or destroyed her office.
Ocasio-Cortez recently voted against amending the defense bill that cuts $500 million for Israel’s missile defense program. She faced backlash against the decision from several fellow figures on the left.
Lawmakers defend themselves on the ballot, and the amendment written by Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, X, said “it does nothing to block offensive aid to Israel or end the flow of US ammunition used in Gaza.”
“I have long said that I have not believed that increasing the number of deaths of innocent victims in this war would be constructive at the end. That’s a simple and clear difference in opinion that has been established for a long time,” she shared.
According to the House Budget Committee, Ocasio-Cortez voted against the entire defense bill. The bill passed the House mainly along the party line on July 18, with a vote of 221-209.
