“Love Island USA” Season 7 is over. The American favorite couple was revealed in the finale that arrived amid online controversy.

On July 13th, Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales were revealed as winners of “Love Island USA” 2025.

Nic Vansteenberghe and Olandria Carthen were runner-up couples thanks to viewers who voted for the Peacock Show app. Iris Kendall, Pepe Garcia-Gonzalez, Huda Mustafa and Chris Seeley also participated in the finale.

In the final regular episode before the finale, day 1 islanders Cherry Vissein and Ace Green were dumped from the villa following a fan vote.

As expected, the reunion was also announced. It is scheduled to drop on Monday, August 25th at 9pm.

“Love Island” 2025 was plagued by racist controversy

Episode 36 shows another summer game (emotional and physical), “crashouts”, and end of endless neon lights.

However, there was a problem with Paradise early on, and cast member Yurissa Escobar suddenly left after receiving limited approval and not escaping from the camera. Narrator Ian Sterling told viewers “Yurissa has left the villa.” On July 6th, Cierra Ortega, who was in the couple running back and forth with Vansteenberghe, was removed from the show, explaining that Stirling “leaved the villa due to personal circumstances.”

Each season, some of the cast departs for a variety of reasons that will not be revealed to viewers, but the two unexplained exits in Season 7 were related to both the contestants’ past online activities, including racial slander.

Charlie about Hannah and Pepe’s relationship “Love Island USA”

Charlie George Woo has seen his episode of “Love Island USA” but doesn’t bother to see a new relationship with Hanna Fields’ Pepe Garcia Gonzalez.

Before the show premiered, 27-year-old Miami businessman Escobar received backlash when several clips of her surfaced using racial slur on her podcast. She later posted a written apologies saying, “I used words that I had no right to use.”

In the week leading up to Ortega’s exit, screenshots from a recent Instagram post showed the 25-year-old contestant using racist slur against Asian people to negatively refer to her eyes. Her use of words caused an online fuss and taunted her family and denounced viewers who allegedly reported Ortegas to US immigration and customs enforcement. Ortega, who lives in Los Angeles, is originally from Arizona and her family is a heritage of Mexico and Puerto Rico.

This season’s show denounced “cyberbullying, harassment (and) hatred” in messages shared across the air and on social media.

Within days of leaving the villa, Ortega posted a “accountability video” that was apologised to “the whole Asian community” and said, “The words had a lot of pain and were so harmful, and accompanied by the history it had, or I’d never used it.”

The conclusion of Season 7 is also marked by the release of Love Island: Beyond the Villa, a spin-off series featuring season 6 breakout stars, including Jana Craig, Kenny Rodriguez, Ria Cateb, Miguel Harichi, Serena Page, Kaylor Martin and Aaron Evans.
