When it comes to politics, Mark Ruffalo is not the type to engrave his words.
The Oscar-nominated actor is a critic of President Donald Trump’s voice of crackdown on illegal immigration, and denounced Joe Rogan after the podcast sense shared criticism of the Trump administration’s fundamental oustering efforts.
In June, several demonstrations erupted throughout Los Angeles in response to a string of immigrant attacks. The federal aggression committed by US immigration and customs enforcement took place in parts of the city as part of an order from President Trump to find immigrants living in the United States without legal status.
Logan, 57, spoke to guest and replica Amjad Massad on July 2nd episode of “The Joe Logan Experience.” “One is the target of migrant workers. Not a cartel member, not a gang member, not a drug dealer. Only construction workers. They appear at construction sites and attack them. Gardeners.
Logan previously shared his support for President Trump and supported billionaire businessmen in the 2024 US presidential election. Despite Logan’s political dissatisfaction, Ruffalo criticized the podcaster for changing the song of the Republican president.
“Dear @Joerogan, it’s a bit late to pretend that Project 2025 never existed and wasn’t a playbook,” wrote Ruffalo in a post in a July 6th thread that responds to a clip of Rogan’s comments. “You’re not that smart or not that stupid. It’s hard to tell at this point.”
Project 2025, also known as the 2025 Presidential Transition Project, is a political agenda announced in April 2023 by the Conservative Think Tank Heritage Foundation. The order suggests overhauling federal agencies like the FBI, abolishing the Department of Education, and overturning approval of boring tablets for immigrant staff to remove immigrant immigrants.
Throughout the 2024 presidential campaign, Trump has tried to distance himself from Project 2025, claiming he “knows nothing” about the controversial plans. However, an analysis by USA Today showed that at least 31 of the 38 authors or editors of Project 2025 have connections with Trump or his first administration.
Amid protests against the Ice deportation raid in Los Angeles, Ruffalo joined the political frontline and marched in a “no King’s Day” protest in New York. The national rally against the Trump administration came on the same day the president held a controversial military parade in Washington, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the US military.
The “Avengers” actor gave a passionate speech at the rally, where he argued that the Trump administration “tramples on our rights, our laws and our freedoms.”
“It’s on top of us. Literally, together, we’re the Avengers now,” Ruffalo said. “No one is going to come and save us, man. Americans are united.”
