President Donald Trump has been unhappy with Russian President Vladimir Putin and said he will send Ukraine into a more defensive weapon just days after the Pentagon said it would halt some shipments when it conducted a review of US military stockpiles.

“We’re going to send a little more weapons — we have to do. They have to be able to protect themselves,” Trump told reporters on July 7 at a White House meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “They are being hit very hard right now. They are being hit very hard. We have to send more weapons, mostly your defensive weapons.”

The Trump administration has worked for months without success in mediating a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.

Trump spoke with Putin last week and later said the call would not bring about progress. Russia killed one person after Trump spoke to Putin, injured at least 23 people, injured at least 23 people, injured at least 23 people, injured at least 23 people, and turned Kiev into panmer.

Trump said on July 7th that he was “frankly disappointed that Putin hasn’t stopped.”

Trump recently held a closed meeting with Ukrainian President Voldy Mie Zelensky at the NATO summit in The Hague, and said he would then see if additional patriot missiles could be used in Ukraine.

However, the Pentagon said last week it has suspended the transfer of several weapons, including interceptors, to assess preparations for Ukraine and future military aid.

The suspension of weapons delivery is part of a “competent review” to “ensure that US military aid is consistent with our defense priorities.”
