Last week, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued multiple recalls, including notifications for more than 400,000 Nissan vehicles.

Do you want to see if a recall was issued on your car? If the car is not listed below, the owner can either check the USA Today Automotive Recall database or search the NHTSA database to search for new recalls. The NHTSA website allows you to search for recalls based on the vehicle’s identification number (VIN).

Here’s what you need to know about the vehicle recall issued by NHTSA from June 30th to July 6th:

Nissan Infinity vehicles reminded of possible engine failure

Nissan reminded of a particular vehicle because the engine bearings may have manufacturing defects that could lead to engine failure.

In the recall, certain 2021-2024 Nissan Rogue, 2019-2020 Nissan Altima, 2019-2022 Infiniti QX50 and 2022 Infiniti QX55 vehicles will feature three-cylinder 1.5-liter or four-cylinder 2.0-liter variable compression turbo engines.

The dealer inspects the engine oil pan for metal debris and repairs or replaces the engine if necessary. Treatment varies based on the engine model.

The owner’s notification letter will be mailed on August 25th.

Dealers will update your rear camera software for free. The notification will be mailed to the owner by July 28th.

The Honda Agreement reminded me of the corrosion of the drive shaft

Honda reminded me of a certain 2013 Honda Accord vehicle with a four-cylinder engine and a continuous variable transmission, as it could have a corroded driveshaft.

The drive shaft was assembled with lubricant to accelerate the disassembly of the protective coating on the drive shaft, increasing its sensitivity to damage caused by road debris.

Vehicles registered or sold in the following states are covered by recalls:

  • Connecticut
  • Delaware
  • Columbia area
  • Illinois
  • Indiana
  • Iowa
  • Kentucky
  • main

The Chevrolet Blazers recall the damaged parking brake

General Motors recalls certain 2024-2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV vehicles as the rear parking brake wire harness can be damaged or corroded.

Damage may result in unintended activation of the parking brake or loss of the parking brake function.

The dealer inspects the harness, reroutes the harness if necessary, and installs the abrasy tape. If there is existing damage to the harness, the dealer will replace it. The work is done free of charge.

The owner’s notification letter will be mailed on August 11th.

GM vehicle recalled for a broken airbag

General Motors recalled certain vehicles as the end caps of the left or right roof rail airbag inflator could be detached from the inflator or the sidewall of the inflator could burst.

When the peeled endcap or inflator bursts, the compressed gas escapes and allows the inflator endcap or fragment to be projected onto the vehicle.

The recall covers these specific vehicles:

  • 2019 GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500
  • 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 and 2500
