How to watch Trump’s visit to “Wannial Catraz”

Florida AG said Trump’s visit to “Alligator Alcatraz” will be streamed live on Uthmeier’s social media channels, including Rumble, YouTube, Facebook and X.

What is “Wannial Catraz”?

“Alligator Alcatraz” is a new temporary immigration detention facility that houses, disposes and deports illegal immigrants, White House spokesman Carolyn Leavitt said at a press conference on Monday, June 30th.

In a previous interview, Uthmeier said he hopes the facility will house immigrants from Florida and other nearby states.

The detention center has acquired names for the wildlife surrounding it, Usmeyer said in a social media video.

“There’s no need to invest so much in the boundaries. People are not going out and waiting for them outside of alligators and Pison,” Usmeyer said. “You can’t go anywhere and you won’t hide anywhere.”

The nickname is also inspired by the infamous prison island of Alcatraz in San Francisco Bay. Trump touted the idea of reopening prisons earlier this spring.

Where is “Wannial Catraz” located?

“Aligator Alcatraz” is located in a vacant lot approximately 39 miles from Dade Carrier Training and Transition Airport in O’Coe, Florida. According to Miami International Airport, the abandoned airport is being used as a training facility for “commercial pilots, private training, and a handful of military touch and go.”
