Sonic seals the dill with a new limited edition pickle-inspired menu from National Pickle Month.
The fast food chain is partnering with Grillo’s Pickles for a special lineup of pickled items, including new burgers, slashes and tater tots. Customers can also order all item combinations as part of the “Big Dil Meal.”
The launch coincides with National Pickle Month, which will be observed in July.
Each pickled-flavored item “delives the unmistakable, crisp, clean and fresh garden flavour of Grillo,” Sonic said in the release.
“Every item in Big Dill’s meal is curated to provide a unique experience and showcase what we do best. A bold, unexpected, and unappreciated taste,” said Barb Williams, Vice President of Marketing and Strategy at Sonic.

Sonic Pickles Menu Items
The Sonic Limited Edition pickle menu includes burgers, slashes, tater tots, or fries. According to the chain, this includes them.
- Sonic X Grillo’s Pickles Big Dil Double & Triple Sonic Smasher: Double or triple Sonic Smasher with two slices of American cheese, crispy cucumber from the dill pickle season, Dilly Ranch, Grillo pickled chips, potato bread and fresh lettuce. Big Dil Double Sonic Smasher starts at $7.49, while Big Dil Triple Sonic Smasher starts at $8.49.
- Sonic X Grillo Pickle Picreat Slash: Topped with a tart and sweet slash made with a blend of pickled juice and tart lime, a foamy blend of pickled juice flavored with a tart and sweet slash, and pickled grillo pickled chips. The Picklerita Slush starts at $3.99 for 20 oz.
- Sonic X Grillo pickled tots or groovy fries: Choose from Sonic Tots or Groovy fries covered in Grillo pickled seasonings.
How to get the Sonic Pickles menu
Sonic’s pickle menu will be released on June 30th and will be available in July. Items are available nationwide.
The fast food chain, known for its drive-in model, has over 3,000 restaurants in 47 states nationwide. A complete list of locations is available on its website.
Pickles products, Sonic offers free air cleanliness
Customers ordering a full large dilmeal will receive a complimentary pickle-scented car air freshener from Grillo’s mascot.
Air is available during the long supply, with a maximum of 250 available for each participating location.
Sonic has also announced that it will be dropping pickle-inspired products, including hats, t-shirts and nugget ice makers at LiveFreeShopsonic.com.
