Beyoncé Knowles Carter held a groundbreaking kick-off concert for the “Cowboy Carter” tour in Houston.
The Grammy Award-winning singer began her first concert in her hometown of Houston at NRG Stadium on June 28th at 7:50pm. The show marked her first Southern Stop on her Rodeo Chitlin Circuit Tour with her Cowboy Carter. She is scheduled to hit the stage one more night on June 29th.
Towards the end of the June 28 performance, the vehicle was tilted into the air as Beyoncé sang her hit single “16 Carriage” while she was rising in the red car. She paused the show temporarily, told everyone to “stop” repeatedly, and was safely lowered and landed the car among the audience. There were no injuries.
Shortly afterwards, she returned to the cool, calm and collected stage. She joked, “If I fall, I know you’ll catch me,” and continued the show, closing down as usual.
H-Town Stop comes after Beyoncé wraps her international foot on her tour. First we had a 6 night stint in London, followed by a 3 night in Paris. During the Paris show, she shocked and shocked the fans. Miley Saius and her husband Jay Z were featured for their first and last night’s surprise performance.
Of course, Beyoncé first debuted her “Cowboy Carter” tour at Sophie Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28th with a set list of 39 songs. Her show is filled with family, fashion, and a variety of musical genres, especially country music and cultural commentary. And the same was true for the H-Town Opener Show.
The nine-city tour will host the grand finale in Las Vegas on July 26th, spanning the US and Europe.
