Things are getting hot all over the country, and while summer hasn’t officially started, the summer solstice brings seasonal and food trade.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the summer solstice will occur on Friday, June 20th, bringing the longest and shortest nights of 2025 in the Northern Hemisphere.
But it also brings several different deals from the restaurant!
Here’s what you need to know about money-saving transactions on the longest day of the year.
Free big one topping pizza from Pizza Hut
Hut Rewards members can celebrate the summer solstice by getting a free big pizza with one topping from places participating until June 22nd.
To qualify for a transaction, customers must spend $7.99 online or on the Pizza Hut app.
Bogo sways from the White Castle
Customers will use Code Summer to purchase one shake and get it for free online and from Craver Nations rewards from June 20th to June 22nd.
Although it is not a transaction intended to celebrate the summer solstice, customers can also purchase the Bogo double cheese slider from June 1st to June 30th, or buy the original slider for $4 for $6 throughout the summer.
Hippo offers free pita tips
Hippo fans will be pleased! Cava Rewards members can enjoy classic Pita chips or hot harissa Pita chip orders with Cava. There is no need to buy it.
Kroger is handing out 92,000 pints of free ice cream
The grocery store chain offers 92,000 pints of Kroger branded ice cream for free. 1,000 pints for 92 days of the season. You can redeem the offer by visiting freekrogericecream.com and downloading a single-use digital coupon available only on June 20th and downloading the supplies last.
Shipley hands out free donuts
Shipley’s do-nuts buys free Shipley do-nuts to its customers and glazes any purchase. To request a free donut, visit the Shipley Shop and order online, or via the loyalty app using Code Donutmonth25.

- Friendly – $1 from a scoop, corn, or plate
- set- The brand offers a complimentary limited edition espresso lemonade.
