The Oklahoma City Thunder is one game away from winning the franchise’s second NBA Championship. Shy Gilgauss Alexander and Thunder will have the opportunity to secure their title against the Indiana Pacers in Game 6 at Gainbridge Field House in Indianapolis.
The first title was known as Seattle Super Sonics in 1979. The franchise moved to Oklahoma City in 2008.
OKC took a 3-2 lead in the final two games of the series after losing two of the first three games of the series, including the opening in Oklahoma.
Pacers star Tyreese Halliburton scored four points, seven rebounds and six assists in 34 minutes of play in 120-109 Game 5 loss on Monday. He finished 6-for-6 from the field and scored all four points from the free throw line.
Halliburton confirmed Wednesday that he was dealing with calf tensions, but told reporters he hopes to play in Game 6. Pacer’s victory on Monday said it would push the series to Game 7 with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Tyreese Halliburton will play against the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight, according to Pacers manager Rick Carlisle.
“Tyree will play,” Carlisle said at a pre-game press conference. “He was tested at 5pm, he took a strength test at 5pm and did very well. He went through a walkthrough. There’s no fixed time limit. From the start of the game, he monitors things very carefully throughout the game. From there you’ll go.”
